The chances of finding one in the future may be difficult, but for television and HD movie viewing the new plasmas and LED tv's are starting to bring very good contrast and picture quality. The main loss suffered through the elimination of CRT's has to do with their use in high intensity environments found in manufacturing facilities. LCD's are not capable of handling these environments; where as CRTs are. So for security purposes and machine viewing the loss of CRT's will be something that will need to be overcome.

G'Day! Icunet,
Neat Post, I love the deep contrast levels crts have, but the only problem is Sony quit making widescreen hd tube tvs. Will I still be able to find another one used when my current one wears out, or should I buy another one now and stash it?
Good Job!
